Created by photographer and visual artist Marcos Alberti, The Wine Project began with a simple experiment: four portraits of each participant — one sober, and one after each glass of wine. The result turned into an international sensation.
The project reached over 1 billion views, was featured in major global media outlets, and sparked exhibitions around the world. Beyond the smiles, it revealed something universal: how wine opens people, stories, and emotions.

In 2023, The Wine Project returned in a special edition photographed in New York City, hosted at Restaurant Iris with the artistic and wine direction of Amy Racine, one of the most influential sommeliers in the United States.
The session brought together icons of the culinary scene — including Jean-Georges, Shenarri Freeman, and other celebrated names — sponsored by Libbey Glassware.
The New York edition became a celebration of culture, gastronomy, personality, and the genuine connections that unfold with each glass
